What is Day Care?
Day care is a chance to spend the day with us without staying overnight: good company, a home-cooked lunch, gentle activity and a change of scene, all in a calm and friendly setting.
Unique to Canwick House, our day care takes place in a newly built wood cabin tucked amongst the trees in our garden. It is a gentle, nature-filled setting for social connection and specialist support, just steps from the home itself.
Who is it for?
Our woodland day care is for people in the local community who would enjoy company, activity and gentle support during the day while continuing to live at home.
It can be a lovely way to ease loneliness, try something new, or give a family carer a regular, reassuring break. You are welcome to come for a single day or to join us regularly.
